1576790 Alberta Ltd. o/a Gary Moe Mazda – located at 81 Gasoline Alley East, Red Deer, Alberta, T4E 1B1 is looking to hire one (1) full-time Automotive Mechanic (NOC: 72410) to join their expanding automobile service department.

Qualifications Required for Automotive Mechanic

1. A strong work ethics and values quality of workmanship
2. Good work history and proven ability to work individually and as part of a team
3. At least one (1) year work experience as an Automotive Mechanic on Mazda cars
4. Has completed Mazda CX90 Technician, EV Specialist and Mazda Master Technician courses
5. Has work experience in repairing car transmissions
6. Has a valid Driver’s License and preferably has a Journeyman Certificate
7. Completed at least 12 years of formal education
8. Willing to work on weekends, work overtime and do shift work, when required
9. Good skills in diagnosing & isolating faults and determining best solutions
10. Fast learner and able to effectively use computerized diagnostic tools and devices
11. Must be able to communicate well in English

List of Main Duties for Automotive Mechanic

1. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
2. Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
3. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
4. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
5. Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
6. Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $37.00/hr. to $40.00/hr. depending on qualifications and work experience. Benefits include ten (10) days paid vacation per year or 4% of salary, dental care, extended health care, vision care, on-site parking, RRSP match, store discount and WCB Insurance.
