JOB INFORMATION

Position Title & # Of Vacancies:  Child caregiver - private home (1 vacancy)

Job Duties

Specific Skills:  Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Supervise and care for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Help children with homework

Additional Skills:  Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Shop for food and household supplies, Care for pets

Terms of Employment:  Permanent employment, Full time
Language of work:  English
Wage:  $15.85 / hour
Hours:  41.5 to 44 hours / week

Skills Requirements

Education:  No degree, certificate or diploma
Work Experience:  Experience an asset
