Position: Hardwood Floor Installer (NOC 73113)

Term: Permanent 

Job Locations: Mississauga, ON

Business Type: Paint and renovation

Number of Position: 1

Compensation: $36.10/ hour

Work hours: Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week

Language: English

Job Responsibilities: 

• Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Suggest appropriate wood materials and a timeframe for a job
• Install baseboard, ensuring the structural integrity of the floor, repairing the subflooring, finishing floor surfaces
• Install flooring materials with regards to time efficiency, quality, and best practices
• Prepare and install hardwood floors, Inspect, and repair damaged floor coverings
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• May estimate material and labour costs
• Clearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions.
• Ensuring that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean.
• Meeting with clients and inspecting sites to determine the most appropriate flooring solutions.

Employment Requirements:

• Secondary school certification is required
• 7 Months to 1 year of Experience will be required
• Ability to work in fast-paced physically demanding and tight deadlines environment
• Team player and highly adaptive to work in culturally diverse environment
• Must have proficiency in English language both written and verbal
• This job may require handling of weights up to 50lbs
