Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner. Package Handlers (PHs) may be assigned to or rotate through various areas and positions such as Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, Scan Weigh and Key (SWAK), Quality Assurance (QA), Facer, Switcher, etc.
In addition to the above general responsibilities and the other duties as assigned by management, the following PH assignments require specialized training and/or responsibilities:
Package Handler Trainer: Trains other PHs on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques in order to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.
Package Handler – Air: Responsible for a multi-step package inspection process to ensure packages that are “Air Restricted” are not loaded into an air container.
Essential Functions
Utilizes “hand-to-surface” methods for all package handling.
Loads and unloads packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, pallets, conveyor system carts and load gratings.
Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages on a continuous and repetitive basis for approximate shift of 3-5 hours, with potential of working one or more shifts each day
Determines the appropriate conveyor system by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and memorizing information and sorts packages accordingly.
Performs other duties as assigned
In addition to the above essential functions, the following PH assignments have additional essential functions as follows:
Additional Package Handler Trainer essential functions:
Trains new PHs in effective unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.
Provides training to other PHs who are in need of additional instruction on unloading, carrying, loading, palletizing, smalls handling, SWAK, or non-conveyable package handling techniques, as determined by management.
Provides feedback on proper package handling techniques, as needed.
Reinforces among peer PHs all dock safety standards.
Understands and demonstrates by example all necessary processes and procedures.
Updates managers on conditions during the sort so operation efficiency decisions can be made.
Assists in the implementation of new package handling procedures and techniques.
Regularly loads/unloads, palletizes, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages while training other PHs.
Additional Package Handler – Air essential functions:
Scans each package in the airlift consolidation area; inspects for Hazardous Materials or ORM-D designation.
Loads packages into unit load device as appropriate.
Completes “Notification of Restricted Packages Return to Shipper” in SCMS for air-restricted packages.
Regularly loads/unloads, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
PHs operating switching equipment must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) file.

Job Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential properties.
Perform gas fitting tasks, including installing and repairing gas lines, fittings, and appliances.
Inspect plumbing and gas systems to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with construction and renovation teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing and gas systems.
Install water heaters, sump pumps, garbage disposals, and other plumbing appliances.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute plumbing and gas fitting tasks.
Provide estimates for repairs and installations when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and clean up after completing jobs.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering their plumbing and gas fitting-related questions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Registered 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Plumbing Apprentice.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, and clean driver’s abstract report.
Experience with plumbing rough-ins, groundworks, hot water tanks and fixtures is an asset.
Working knowledge of residential plumbing and gas systems, codes, and regulations.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Ability to operate relevant tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
Ability to manage time to arrive to residential sites with company vehicle.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The conductor position is a foundational role in the railway and operates within the framework of the union agreement. A conductor works as a member of a train crew that assists in switching rail cars, making or splitting up trains in rail yards, or moving rail cars between rail yards. This position requires you to be vigilant about the safety of yourself and those around you. You must be prepared for unscheduled shift work, being away from home for extended periods of time and working outdoors in all types of weather.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

CPKC provides 16 weeks of paid in-class and field training. Providing you with a solid understanding of our safety practices, rules and operations. You will earn 80% of the job rate upon starting classroom training $188.23 per day and then 90% of the job rate upon successful completion of the classroom portion (including Part II Exams) $211.76 per day. Earn $85,000 in your first year working as a qualified conductor.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS Operating safely is a core foundation of CPKC. As this position is considered safety critical, successful candidates are required to complete a pre-employment medical that includes a physical, vision (including accurate colour vision), hearing, alcohol, and drug audit assessment. Pre-employment qualification drug test(s) are also required. Candidates will also be required to pass a drug test during the training process before receiving final qualification for the position.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The conductor position is a foundational role in the railway and operates within the framework of the union agreement. A conductor works as a member of a train crew that assists in switching rail cars, making or splitting up trains in rail yards, or moving rail cars between rail yards. This position requires you to be vigilant about the safety of yourself and those around you. You must be prepared for unscheduled shift work, being away from home for extended periods of time and working outdoors in all types of weather.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform work that can be physically demanding such as walking up to 10 kilometers a day on uneven ground, climbing up and down and lifting and pulling heavy objects (up to 80 pounds on occasion)
Work unscheduled shift work in a 24/7 operating environment
Work up to 12 hour shifts which include days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
Ability to report to work within a two hour call window, after scheduled rest
Excellent focus, attention to detail and ability to multitask
Strong communication skills (provide clear and concise instructions/directions including over radio)
Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for long periods of time
Must be able to pass the required physical job tasks for the job position, written examinations, read and understand safety instructions, read and understand operating rules and regulations and other written or printed material in English
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work in either train or yard service depending on seniority
Carry out specific instructions detailing a train's route and specific movements
Coordinate the switching of cars, including coupling and uncoupling cars and lifting out coupling device
Observe, interpret, and relay signals and other indications affecting movement of train
Signal crew members for movement of the engine or train using specific signals, or radio to indicate when to start, stop, back-up, set or release air brakes
Maintain a thorough understanding of and follow General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR), general orders and bulletins
Provide flag protection and relay signals to trains in an emergency situation
Move on and off moving or stationary equipment
Fill out forms including train orders and switch lists and prepare clear and legible reports
Handle emergency situations and operate fire extinguishers as well as be able to apply first aid techniques

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of food service management experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment.
Previous experience in the Sushi industry is preferable.

Have strong communication skills in both oral and written English.

Responsibilities The Food Service Area Supervisor is responsible for managing assigned Sushi Bars in Calgary, AB region. This includes developing, supervising and coaching team members to ensure the highest levels of product quality and guest service standards are achieved.
Responsible for the overall day-to-day management and operations of assigned locations including people management, food safety, guest services, sales and food quality
Accountable for recruiting, training, development and motivating hourly teammates.
Daily store visits and monitoring of kiosks to ensure they are compliant with Bento regulatory requirements including quality assurance and food safety, health and safety standards and ensuring all required corrective action is taken promptly.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with store management and third party auditors.
Execution of new store openings and implementing new product/program roll outs.
Ensure that the labor and production plans are regularly amended to maximize profitability for each location through a combination of sales optimization and waste control.
Ensure Daily Production Reports, payroll, checklists and reports are completed accurately for operational matters.
Monthly inventory counts, Quality Assurance and Bento Compliance Audits.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of food service management experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment.
Previous experience in the Sushi industry is preferable.
Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment.
Ability to travel within an assigned region and with a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs.
Have strong communication skills in both oral and written English.
Must be self-motivated and guest focused oriented.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations.

The Healthy Heart Institute is leading the way in cardiovascular services in Red Deer and Central Alberta providing the full spectrum of ambulatory cardiovascular medicine
Our team is the only multispecialty group with a focus in CV and respiratory health. The lab services includes; nuclear lab, echo lab, ECG / stress testing, carotid doppler and pulmonary function testing. Healthy Heart Institute is home to a number of excellent cardiovascular and internal medicine physicians and is seeking to expand operations by adding a General Cardiologist as well as a Nuclear Cardiologist.
This position represents an opportunity to join this group of dedicated healthcare professionals in a progressive organization. The successful MD will be licensed as a Cardiologist in good standing in the Province of Alberta or eligible for a license to practice in Alberta with the College of Physicians and Surgeons and have certification in Cardiology. The Nuclear Cardiologist will, in addition, have advanced Fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology. Payment is Fee For Service as per the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan, less overhead. Full time income potential of $700,000+ per year. This position can be done remotely provided licensing is approved in Alberta, however, preference is given to candidates who can provide onsite services at least 30% of the time.
