Job Description


Job Duties (for 2 vacancies):

  • Provide personal care and assistance with all aspects of daily living, including transfers, toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.

  • Prepare and serve meals; assist with feeding as required.

  • Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and general tidying.

  • Accompany employer to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and day-to-day errands (e.g., shopping, banking).

  • Assist with stretching and light exercises under direction of medical professionals.

  • Monitor employer’s well-being and provide overnight support in case of emergencies.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in the home.

Terms of Employment:

  • Full-time, permanent positions.

  • Two vacancies available.

  • Hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week per position.

  • Shifts include early mornings (4:30 AM start), daytime, evening, and occasional overnight stays. Weekend shifts may also be required.

  • Live-in arrangement required due to high medical needs. A private, fully furnished bedroom with a private bathroom is provided at no cost to the worker.

Language of Work:

  • English (oral and written).

Skills Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum college diploma or university degree in healthcare, nursing, caregiving, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience as a caregiver or home support worker is required.

  • Additional skills: Ability to safely operate transfer/lift equipment; understanding of personal hygiene and safe mobility practices; patience and compassion in supporting a quadriplegic individual.
