Demolition and Abatement Supervisor (NOC 72014 Contractors and Supervisors, Other Construction Trades)

Main Duties:

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in demolition and abatement in residential and commercial properties
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other subcontractors
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
• Prepare work progress reports
• May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
• Prepare safe work procedures, site safety inspections and perform task specific daily field level hazard assessments

 Qualifications:

• 1-3 years commercial construction experience
• Abatement or restoration experience
• CSO designation would be an asset
• BC Worksafe Level 3 abatement certification would be an asset (training provided)
