Machinery & Equipment Welder (NOC 7237)

Located in Bolton, Ontario, Insta-Mix, Inc. is hiring a welder. Upon hiring, the candidate must commit to the rules that the business adheres to; given the current pandemic, Insta-Mix, Inc. is aware of the health-related measures that are currently at play. The company takes these regulations seriously and all employees are expected to comply as well.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications

- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments

- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

- Operate brazing and soldering equipment

- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines

- Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers

- Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools

- Prepare and clean metal and steel welds for welding

- Restore damaged steel and cast-iron components by welding, grinding, dissembling, and assembling relative components

- Test the strength of each join during and after project completion.

- Diagnose issues and troubleshooting as required

- Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours in support of the company’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and initiatives

- Train welding apprentices and mentor recruits.

Employment Requirements:

- Completion of secondary schooling

- Completion of an apprenticeship program or a combination of 3 years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in welding is required.

- Must speak English

Job Type: Full-time

Terms of employment: Definite-term (Contractual)

Salary:  $25  per hour, and overtime pay as required by the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
