What you’ll be doing: As the Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for outbound calling to both active and inactive customers to obtain a sale and/or growing program membership. You will generate revenue for Quill.com through soliciting sales, customer retention and memberships through directed and planned sales campaigns. You will leverage gathered information, previous history, specific offers, and the value of shopping with Quill.com to meet and exceed sales targets. Collecting marketing intelligence and customer data is required while consistently representing Quill.com in a positive and professional manner.
Meet and exceed defined sales targets for number of reactivations and memberships, retention of customers and average order size.
Maintain daily minimum of 3.75 hours selling time. Make outbound calls to assigned existing customer contacts. Promote Quill products & services to reactivate customers and increase membership enrollment
Utilize contact management software and order entry system to track and capture appropriate and required information
Provide ongoing feedback regarding marketing intelligence, customer trends and customer feedback to team manager or to marketing partners
Participate in department meetings, feedback sessions and training sessions

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
People:
Organize and distribute the work of his/her staff, set priorities and keep an overview of the tasks to be accomplished in accordance with the Store Manager
Manage, recruit, onboard, train, develop and provide succession planning for the staff in the store in partnership with the Store Manager

Proactively ensure your team has knowledge on all product, campaign, promotion, display guidelines and merchandise information
Ensure garment presentation, garment level and visual standards within the department are presented according to H&M’s expectations
Plan and coordinate with the visual team on all activities concerning campaigns, promotions and sales activities in his/her department
Operations:
Effectively schedule the staff within the department according to the needs and restrictions of the business and adjust hours as necessary to reach store and SPH goals
Work with sales and cost plans, budgets and other available tools to make business decisions to ensure maximum profitability
Responsible for knowledge and completion of cash office operational functions
Follow and execute safety and security routines to prevent loss and guarantee employee and customer safety

Customer Service:
Maintain high-quality H&M direct and indirect customer service by providing the best shopping experience for each customer and role modeling the 5 basic demands on the selling floor, in the fitting room, and at the cashpoint
Financial Accountability:
Assist Store Manager in establishing and overseeing sales and cost plans, budgets and variable costs for the department; work with comparable sales from last year, sales to budget and future sales trends to maximize profitability

Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Preferably 2-3 years of retail management experience, including direct supervisory experience, or comparable management role experience
Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push; pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance

Position Summary

A moderate amount of physical effort and operation of equipment / machinery is required to execute our merchandising standards and to maximize our customer experience.
Movement of freight by use of ladders and stock pickers is required.
A moderate level of concentration is required while restocking according to planograms, however, there is flexibility in choosing when to stop and typically does not exceed more than two consecutive hours at a time.
A significant amount of effort is required while stocking shelves and placing merchandise, however, there is flexibility in choosing when to stop and relax.

Some of what you do
As the Sales Area Representative, you’re responsible for the customer experience on the retail floor. You demonstrate your passion by staying on top of the latest products and trends within the office & workspace categories. You connect, share your knowledge and enthusiasm, and partner in a consultative manner with our customers and other associates to offer solutions that help customers achieve their working & learning goals.
Specifically, you will:
Connect, share and partner with customers to identify solutions that cater to their needs and add value.
Identify referral opportunities. Reconnect and follow up with customers.
Maintain company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, planograms, promotional planners, ad set-ups and displays.
Stay updated through the various internal communication channels (mobile app, intranet, bulletin boards, etc).
Participate in serving customers at the checkout / customer service centre, and on the phone.
Operational excellence and customer experience are important aspects of your role. You will follow all loss prevention measures and ensure the cleanliness and store standards of your assigned departments.
Ensure that a clean and safe environment is always top-of-mind, keeping the safety of yourself, fellow associates, and our customers as a key priority.
Qualifications
Some of what you need
Three months to one year of previously related experience is preferred.
Working towards or successful completion of high school is preferred.
Strong ability with customer service and sales
Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner.
Ability to communicate with and engage customers effectively using a variety of mediums.

Additional Information
A moderate amount of physical effort and operation of equipment / machinery is required to execute our merchandising standards and to maximize our customer experience.
Movement of freight by use of ladders and stock pickers is required.
A moderate level of concentration is required while restocking according to planograms, however, there is flexibility in choosing when to stop and typically does not exceed more than two consecutive hours at a time.
A significant amount of effort is required while stocking shelves and placing merchandise, however, there is flexibility in choosing when to stop and relax.
We’ll also ask you to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
