About the role

We are currently accepting applications for Entry Level Underground Miners to operate UG Haul Trucks.
You will be responsible for:
Operating underground haul truck
Identifying and responding to workplace hazards
Ensuring your underground tasks are completed according to set schedules.
Performing basic maintenance on operating equipment (pre-start checks, refueling, lube fill, washing down);
Performing related duties and activities as directed by the Underground Supervisor or as required.
Located at the Diavik Diamond Mine, you will be working on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation in the interim (alternating night shift and day shift) rotational schedule on a 12 hours per shift day. with the potential that this changes to a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation in the future, once the COVID-19 pandemic normalizes.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Strong safety mindset
Previous work experience in equipment operation OR any unrelated college diploma
Heavy Equipment Operators course considered an asset
Valid Driver’s License
Keenness to work in an Underground mine environment

Your new role will be
As our newest Satellite Service Technician, you will represent Atlas Copco as you provide high-level customer service when performing routine service and maintenance, emergency breakdown calls and complete overhauls on our equipment end users. Qualifications: Five to Ten year experience as a haul truck or equipment operator (Komatsu 830E & 930E, and Caterpillar 797 & 793 haul trucks) within a surface coal mining and/or oil sands environment. Experience operating heavy equipment is also an asset. Strong computer proficiency, particularly with windows-based programs. Core Duties/Responsibilities:
EMPLOYEE SUPERVISION
1. Provides instruction and guidance to employees in order to optimize performances in terms of productivity, quality and just in time delivery. Creates a positive work environment, builds employee morale, and utilizes people to the best of their ability. 2. Monitors and ensures employee’s compliance to corporate policies and programs pertaining to health & safety, environmental, quality and code of conduct. 3. Holds regular safety meetings, and hazard assessments, and ensures that all employees maintain a safe working environment. 4. Motivates employees to be neat, courteous and professional. 5. Reports issues or incidents of importance to the Regional Concrete Supervisor that will require proper follow-up.

1. Ensures concrete deliveries are prompt, efficient, and to specifications. 2. Ensures concrete plant, mixers, gravel trucks, and other equipment are utilized in an efficient and cost-effective manner 3. Ensure efficient and cooperative communication with the other ready mix operations to optimize operations, synergies and sharing of resources. 4. Coordinates repairs and maintenance of all equipment, and communicates status report to the Regional Concrete Supervisor. 5. Ensures buildings and equipment are neat, clean and well maintained. 6. Establish cooperation with all employees to work efficiently and communicates daily with the Regional Concrete Supervisor.
QUALITY CONTROL & ASSURANCE
1. Ensures standards and specifications are met or surpassed. 2. Understands and follows the quality control plan. 3. Maintains high standard of workmanship and professionalism. 4. Implements use of new technologies and products as directed.
SALES
1. Treats customers in a professional and courteous manner to create excellence in customer satisfaction. 2. Represents the Company professionally in the community and promotes ongoing business relationships with customers and suppliers. 3. Seeks new business opportunities and works closely with the Regional concrete supervisor to establish proper marketing plans. 4. Upsell customers with our value-added products in order to increase our profitability
BATCHING DUTIES
1. Ensure that all deliveries are on time and in spec. 2. Schedules all orders as such to maximize productivity and manpower while keeping overtime to a minimum. 3. Responsible for maintaining raw material inventory for ongoing orders. 4. Communicate start and finish times with employees. 5. Provides retail prices on phone as required. 6. Ensure all orders have payment secured or know of their current account status. 7. Maintain communication with drivers during placements to ensure proper scheduling and quality can be achieved. 8. Communicate with concrete Supervisor, all safety infractions and any complaints as they arise. 9. Any other duties as assigned by the Concrete Supervisor. 10. Weekly Inspections to the concrete plant and maintenance as required. 11. Ensures that all running equipment is kept neat and tidy, and drum inspections are performed at regular intervals. All running equipment must be cleaned both inside and out. 12. Ensures that all delivery tickets, time cards, and other general paperwork are completed fully and accurately by all employees, and handed in daily. 13. Takes accurate concrete orders and asks all the right questions in order to minimize any mistakes with the concrete order.
